Information for Families and Guests
- Sanctuary at the Shore has open
visiting hours. Suggested hours are between 9:00 a.m.
and 9:00 p.m.
- All residents are encouraged to get dressed
daily in appropriate clothing. All clothing (and other
personal belongings such as shoes, eyeglasses, hearing
aides, blankets, pillow, etc.) must be marked with
first initial and last name.
- Laundry services are offered at no additional
charge. Family is also welcome to do personal laundry
(clothing still needs to be marked for identification
purposes). If families prefer to do the laundry, a
rubber maid type container with a lid is needed to
store soiled clothing. Please let us know if you would
like Sanctuary at the Shore to do the laundry.
- Sanctuary at the Shore is a smoke
free facility. Smoking is allowed outside in a designated
area.
- Family and friends are welcome and encouraged
to share meals with their loved ones. A tray is $3.00
and meal tickets can be purchased from the business
office.
- Phone calls are an excellent way to check
and see how your loved one is doing on any given day.
The optimal times to call are before 7:00am, between
9:00 am – 12:00 noon, 2:00 p.m. – 5:00
p.m., and after 8:00 p.m.
- Activities are a major part of daily living
here at Sanctuary at the Shore. These include
music, birthday parties, family nights, pet visits,
exercise, special holiday events and many others.
Calendars are posted in each room and across from
the main nurses station.
- As a faith based organization, Sanctuary at the Shore is sensitive to the various spiritual
needs of its residents and families. We do provide
pastoral care services, bible studies, mass, church
services and other celebratory events. If you have
a specific spiritual care need, please share it with
us and we will endeavor to facilitate your requests.
