Speech Therapy

Our Speech – Language Pathologist works with the resident to resolve problems in speech production, expressive and receptive language, memory, higher-level thinking and safe swallowing techniques, in addition to caregiver training.

Communication disorders can isolate an individual and may prevent them from telling staff and family their wants and needs.

Swallowing Difficulties or dysphasia, places the resident at risk for aspiration pneumonia, weight loss, weakness and dementia like symptoms.
